Meet Volunteers Needed

Dear Swimmers,
Our Long-course VMSC Swim Meet has now been sanctioned, so register now to avoid disappointment. But if swimming isn't in the cards for you this year, we could really use your help as a volunteer!!
Our meet will be held on Saturday, January 20th - so as usual we need some awesome Vic Masters swimmers (or their supporters) to make it a success. Island Swimming will be providing the timers and officials, but there are other jobs that still need to be filled. If you are interested in any of the roles below, please email Dawn at meetmanager@victoriamasters.ca by December 15th.
Roles include:
- Timers for the 1500m; 8-10 people, involves timing for about 30 minutes at the end of the meet, approximately 4:30 to 5:30 pm
- Refreshment Coordinator(s) - one or two people to receive food from VMSC swimmers on the morning of the meet and serve it to officials and timers in the Classroom on deck; also help put out the food for the post-meet social
- Assistant clerk of the course to help with record attempts, record confirmation, and relay check-ins; 2 people, all day or 2 x half-days 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Certificate preparation and distribution - 2 people, all day or 2 x half-days, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm - Prepare certificates for all participants by putting labels on certificates and giving them out as swimmers come by
- Meet closure and clean-up; 2 - 4 people to help put things away, clean up, collect lost and found, and generally be available after the festivities are over, approximately 4-6:00 pm
